There are a lot of software developers out there, and it is a minefield trying to choose one that you are going to work well with. We consider using overseas teams to help keep the cost down, and also looked at the basic platforms – choosing between php and Ruby.
Eventually we decided to go with a firm in #Shrewsbury that had done some work with clients of ours and was located very close to our offices. They were prepared to give us a fixed price and work with a pretty rough outline of what we wanted.
